Kelly & Keith’s shoot was a lot of fun!  They are so natural in front of the camera and I was able to shoot them in one of my favorite areas to photograph. I loved their interaction and adorable smiles and am looking forward to their wedding coming up in just a few short weeks!!

I don’t have too much time to post today, but I did want to showcase a few of my favorite images from Nereida & Robert’s engagement session.  Gotta love springtime on Orange County beaches in So Cal!

I just love Kayleigh and Lance’s pics.  This session had to be rescheduled like 5 times due to rain, their son being sick, more rain, my dad in hospital, etc.  The day Donny actually did this shoot I believe it was forecasted to rain as well – but you know how often the forecast is correct -right!  LOL.  We were so happy to finally get to give them some awesome images!  What I love about the images is how genuine and comfortable Kayleigh and Lance seem together.  Incredibly special.

Sierra & Rick’s wedding is coming up very soon and I am so excited!  Here is one of my favorites from their engagement session!

So, Donny shot these awesome images of Sabrina & Sean only about a week before their wedding!  Talk about a practice run!  However, this couple was not one that needed a trial practice… they were quite comfy in front of the camera and had no problem pretending that Donny wasn’t even there!

We are in the middle of doing bunches of engagement sessions right now, so I thought it was only fitting to post one of our more recent ones.   This is Michelle and Matt — their wedding is in 2011 at the Humphrey’s Estate in Temecula (a venue we are just in love with).  Their engagement session was super fun and I LOVE all the shots we got.  I think I will break this into two parts… so you will have to come back in a few days to see the rest!

Every once in a while we get a bride ask if we get the “traditional shots”… I guess we don’t always post the “straight on, smile at the camera shots” because we like to post images that will show a bit more of our artistic and creative sides.   But, yes, we definitely take them!  Moms and Grandmas would be very unhappy otherwise!  LOL.  I thought I would include this one as proof!

Did you know I used to be a teacher? Yup. I used to teach little first & second grade munchkins!  It’s been quite a few years since I’ve taught and it feels like a lifetime ago, but Sharlie used to be one of my co-workers!  I am so excited that she is getting married!  Sharlie & Danny are having a destination wedding next summer, but wanted to get some engagement pics prior to the wedding.  We were honored that they chose us to photograph this awesome time in their lives!  Here are some of my favorite images from the session.

As I’m sure many of you noticed, our blog kind of stopped being updated this past year almost completely… Ummm… you could say that I just simply wasn’t up to it.  When I got pregnant with the twins, I literally could barely do much of anything but sleep.  The first 4 months were so incredibly draining…I guess it sucks a lot of energy out of one’s body creating 20 fingers and 20 toes!  Once that was over, I had about a month of feeling OK before I was simply SO huge that it was like being 9 months pregnant for months on end!  I can’t tell you how many people would ask me at 5 months pregnant if I was due that week! LOL.  Then the pre-term labor and bed rest… and then what can I say — WE HAD TWINS!  Now they are 8 months old and I am finally feeling like my head is screwed back on somewhat correctly!  We are starting to get some sleep, starting to find some sort of routine and I’m excited about being able to get back into doing some of the things I love — including posting here! 

You can be looking forward to us sharing some of our recent work, along with some of the work from this past year for you to see!  For now, I thought I would share a pic of our family (thank you Mae & Michael).

Lisa and Sean are one of those couples that seem so adorably in love that it is sweet!  They are playful and fun and seem to just love being in one another’s company.  I had a great time photographing them and can’t wait for their wedding that is coming up soon!
